Find God's Goodness in Unexpected Places

Ever find your life in a wild turn or twist that is leaving you dazed & confused? In a valley or wilderness? Come to a place where how you were living isn’t working anymore? A couple years ago I did. I hit the wall so to speak with so much at once.

We were transitioning our family back to USA; in a new city and ministry assignment without much community. I was grieving Asia, my home for 15 years that I left and had thought I would die in. I almost lost my husband to COVID pneumonia followed by me finding that I had stage 3-4 cancer. That was followed by numerous surgeries and an unexpected healing cancer journey. And, I was carrying a load of trauma, grief, loss, suffering, fear that I was needing to emotionally unpack with re-entering after life overseas. It was a long season of intensities, transitions, and grace of God. Thank God for spiritual direction, EMDR counseling, supportive family, and a whole bunch of God’s grace that walked me through!

In the midst of the valley and wilderness God said remember and write the book. To remember His faithfulness to me throughout the years. While walking through that season this book was published to encourage myself and others to see God’s goodness in unexpected places.
